Alas! I Missed My Five Minutes of Fame

Yes, it's true. I could have met Matt Lauer and made my debut on the Today Show. I think I told you that Apollo's public relations person came by and asked me if I would like to talk to some American TV people who were putting together a story about medical tourism. Sad to admit, I declined. Now I wish I had agreed. Would have knocked Kate right out of her socks!

Austin

Gina and I met in Austin this weekend to hangout with some friends, Matt and Mica that just got engaged.

Austin is green and hilly and warm and beautiful and boasts the largest Whole Foods in the US.

We had a fabulous time!

Getting Lucky in Kentucky

I had the best time in Lexington with the Hoenscheids. We spent two days at the races at Keeneland. By day two I had the hang of betting and Anne picked out a winning horse based on his name, Sinister Minister, the odds were 20-1. We cheered as he pulled way ahead of the pack and won by 13 lengths.

Lisa and Elizabeth plotted and pulled off a great surprise birthday party for Jim. Many of his friends came into town for the party. A good time was had by all.

Maryann made me Easter breakfast and I was off to the airport.

It went much too fast. I might just have to go back in October.

Aqua Boy

Jack has learned to swim!!! He put on a pair of blue goggles and nothing has stopped him since. The credit for his fine swimming tutoring goes to Nana and Namy who sat with him for two hours instructing him how to put his head underwater in the Atrium's whirlpool. Slowly slowly he gained his confidence and jumped into the bigger pool . Now we have to remind him to come up for air..

Namy Graduates from Kindergarden

Namy is a proud graduate of Senior Kindergarden at the Kangaroo Kids Billabong Australian School.
She and her fellow class mates each received a diploma and a big congratulations from parents, teachers and friends for successfully completely the beginning years of their education. Namy sang a beautiful rendition of New York New York, with the words changed to First Grade, First Grade. The ceremony was short and sweet and we had masala tea and biscuits afterwards..
