Namy was caught by the family paparazzi in a toy store after her performance in Billabong's annual stage production. Namy danced with her first grade class in a dreamy number that the audience loved. Afterwards, we all went out to dinner and, not surprisingly, the star was fast asleep before she reached home. --- Mom

Dad's Big 8-5! (Shhhhh!)

For Dad's Birthday we had a few great dinners. The First one was in neighborhood at Westlake Joe's where the Italian Waiters sang a great rendidtion of Happy Birthday and we all enjoyed good grilled fish and Ceasar salads.

Later in the week we went to another favorite, the Spinnaker in Sausalito where we had a great window seat and view back of the San Francisco skyline on a clear and starry night. Gina joined us for dinner number 2. It is always good to stretch a birthday out to as many celebrations as possible. Especially, number 85.

Holey Moley! It's Holi in Chennai

Only in India! Take a look at Holi, a beautiful, if somewhat bizarre, holiday in India when children and adults toss brightly colored powders and colored water all over each other. Namy and I were invited to play with some of my neighbors. (Jack appeared a little later.) I only went to take photos for the blog but I was waylaid by buckets of water. After some serious scrubbing, we lost our rainbow hues but our clothes will never be the same. I only wish I could have recorded the shrieks and laughter. --- Mom
