Jack's "Big 5" Birthday Bike

Just what he wanted! Jack got a speedy new bike for his 5th birthday. (And, of course, Julie got into the act.) He rode like a whiz up and down the driveway for an hour. A very happy boy! Later today, he will have a birthday party, complete with a Spiderman cake and a bunch of friends.

Mr. Lucky

This is the starving, half-lame and shivering black kitten that Namy found in the driveway of the Atrium three weeks ago. She and her mom took him to the vet for shots and deworming and he has been with me ever since. Now he is quite healthy and very playful In fact, I am hoping that a family with children will adopt him. (Note the enormous ears. Jack thinks we should have named him Batman.)

Croton Creek

Kate and friends.

A group of us headed up to Westchester for dinner at Croton Creek the other night.

It is my friend Flavia's little brother's restaurant. It was just written up in the NYTimes. :)
